Must Know
understanding what we do....
AERATION
*
What is Aeration?
Aeration involves perforating the soil with small holes to allow air, water and nutrients to penetrate the grass roots. This helps the roots grow deeply and produce a stronger, more vigorous lawn. The main reason for aerating is to alleviate soil compaction.
WHEN TO AERATE?
The best time for aeration is during the growing season, when the grass can heal and fill in any open areas after soil plugs are removed. Ideally, aerate the lawn with cool season grass in the early spring or fall and those with warm season grass in the late spring.

POWER RAKING
*
Power Raking is a great way to remove dead debris and crust that builds up on a lawn over Winter. It's also a gentle way to remove a small amount of thatch from the lawn, without causing the significant damage that dethatching can cause.

WE RECOMMEND POWER RAKING
IN EARLY SPRING, before new growth has begun. The service is especially effective combined with Overseeding, as it opens the lawn surface so that new seed can get better established. It's also a great way to thicken up bentgrass lawns.

FERTILIZATION
*
You should typically fertilize your lawn every 6-8 weeks, as when it grows and gets cut, the nutrients in the soil deplete and need to be replenished. Typically you'd feed your lawn once in early spring, once in late spring, once in late summer and finally in the fall, just before the snow comes.

SPRINKLERS BLOWOUTS
*
Sprinklers help keep your lawn properly watered and looking its best. But at the end of the watering season, it's important to winterize your sprinklers so that the water does not freeze inside the system and cause damage. Understanding more about the timing of winterization, and the possible effects of not doing so on time, will help you make an informed decision about when it's time to winterize your sprinkler system.
